This is a great discussion on leadership and the role of leadership in change. Indeed, the success of organizational change hinges on key elements such as change management and change leadership. Sustaining change requires committed and engaged leadership. Leaders must commit financial and human resources to ongoing change efforts and to serve as champions for the transformation efforts. Leadership is fundamental in change management (Mekonnen & Bayissa, 2023). Effective leadership results in movement. A leader’s leadership style influences the orientation of their team as well as the direction they should take, which dictates if change will be sustained in the organization.
